Video doorbells

Answer the door from anywhere

Know who is at the door before you open it, speak with visitors and delivery drivers from your phone, and get notified about activity at your entrance. Installed and set up properly.

What it solves

  • Opening the door blind

Not knowing who is outside until the door is already open.

  • Missed deliveries

Packages left out of sight, or drivers who leave without a word.

  • Notification overload

Badly set up doorbells alert you to every passing car until you stop paying attention.

  • Unclear costs

Many doorbells depend on a subscription for some features, and that is not always clear at purchase.

Key benefits

  • Visitor awareness

See who is at the door on your phone, or on a supported screen or display.

  • Motion notifications

Alerts for activity at your entrance, tuned so they stay useful.

  • Two-way communication

Speak with visitors and delivery drivers without opening the door.

  • Package and entry visibility

A clear view of your doorstep and the approach to your door.

Available solutions

We recommend a doorbell that suits your entrance, wiring and ecosystem.
  • Wired doorbells

Use your existing doorbell wiring for continuous power. We check the wiring and transformer first.

  • Battery-powered doorbells

For homes without suitable wiring. They need periodic charging.

  • Subscription considerations

Some features depend on a paid plan from the manufacturer. We tell you which before you choose.

  • Storage options

Doorbells differ in how and where any video is kept: on a device in your home, in the manufacturer’s cloud, or not at all. We explain the options for each product at a high level.

Ecosystem compatibility

  • Apple Home
  • Google Home
  • Amazon Alexa

Some video doorbells work with Apple Home, Google Home or Amazon Alexa, and many offer only part of their features through each. Live view, notifications and chimes can differ by ecosystem.

Compatibility with Apple Home, Google Home and Amazon Alexa differs by product and by feature. We confirm what works with your ecosystem during your consultation, before you buy anything.

  3. Step 3: Selection

  4. Step 4: Installation

We mount the doorbell at the right height and angle, and connect power and chime.

  5. Step 5: Notification setup

We set up the app, your household, and motion areas and alerts so notifications stay meaningful.

  6. Step 6: Setup and training

We connect everything to your app and ecosystem, set up the people in your household, and walk you through day-to-day use.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a subscription?

It depends on the doorbell and the features you want. We tell you which features need a plan, and what it costs, before you choose.

Does ZeinHomes see my video?

No. Your doorbell connects to your own account. We do not store or view your footage.

Will it work with my existing chime?

Many wired doorbells can, and some need a small adapter. We check your chime during the consultation.

Is my Wi-Fi strong enough at the door?

We test it. If the signal is weak, we will tell you and suggest options before installation.
